cranberries & apples make the perfect chutney partners. mrs darlington's cook them slowly in traditional open pans with onions sultanas and spices to create a delicious festive chutney perfect for the christmas table. mrs darlington's a small family firm in cheshire have been making their range of unique curds preserves chutneys and sauces for over 35 years. this success story began when marion darlington was faced with a surplus of eggs from the family farm. marion decided to use the eggs to make a small batch of her homemade (and now legendary) lemon curd to sell to local shops. the shelves soon emptied and requests quickly followed asking whether she might consider selling her other homemade jams and chutneys too. so a farm building was converted into a large kitchen and marion asked ladies from her local village to come and help her and the rest is history. the darlington family have come a long way; but still hold the same aim they began with - to bring you high quality products with a truly homemade taste.
