5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan) is derived from the seeds of the Griffonia simplicifolia plant. 5-HTP is a naturally occurring Amino Acid that aids the production of the important brain neurotransmitter, Serotonin. Serotonin is involved in mood and emotion regulation, behaviour patterns, appetite control, and sleep mechanisms. 
Tryptophan is obtained from the diet and converted into 5HTP within the body. 5-HTP is able to cross the blood-brain barrier, where it is transformed into Serotonin. 5-HTP is commonly used to support cognitive function by managing mental health (stress and symptoms of depression and anxiety), sleeping patterns, fibromyalgia and migraine relief.

Bulking Agents: Microcrystalline Cellulose, Di-Calcium Phosphate, L-5 Hydroxytryptophan (Griffonia simplicifolia seed extract), Controlled Release Agent: Hydroxy Propyl Methyl Cellulose, Anti-caking Agents: Vegetable Magnesium Stearate, Silica, Binding Agent: Acacia Gum. These components are combined to create the 5-HTP supplement, which is designed to support mood and sleep by providing 50mg of 5-Hydroxytryptophan per tablet.
