Cedar baklawa is handmade in the UK. This selection contains five different varieties to share with friends. Chocolate adds an extra layer of decadence to the Middle Eastern dessert.

Baklawa is a popular sweet treat in the Middle East and Mediterranean. It is thought to have originated in Mesopotamia around 800 BC. No one can agree on who invented it, but the pastries are now enjoyed around the world.

Presented in stylish boxes, Cedar baklawa is perfect for special occasions. You can serve it at birthdays and family gatherings or gift a box to a friend.

This Lebanese recipe for baklawa is made with lots of butter and nuts, and uses less syrup than Greek or Turkish versions. Please bear in mind the baklawa may be less sticky than some other varieties.
