Apricot Kernel Chocolate Butter


This apricot kernel butter is great for adding to porridge, having on toast, using in smoothies, eating as a snack with fruit. 


  • 2 cups apricot kernels
  • pinch of salt
  • 2-4 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp coconut cream or almond milk
  • 1 tbsp ghee or coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Add the apricot kernels to a food processor and process, stopping occasionally to scrape the sides of the processor using a spatula. This can take up to 20 minutes

Once the apricot kernels have a buttery texture, add the other ingredients and blend again until mixed.
