Superfood Banana Bread


Everyone loved banana bread and this one has the added benefits of being rich in nutrients from the hemp protein and flaxseed, and is a great way to incorporate these into your diet. This banana bread would make a great snack, dessert or breakfast.


  • 180g oat flour
  • 60g rolled oats
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 tbsp hemp protein powder
  • 30g ground flaxseed
  • 60ml honey
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 125ml unsweetened almond milk
  • 4 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tsp baking powder

Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/gas 4.

Roughly mash the bananas with a fork.

Mix together all of the dry ingredients in a bowl.

Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and add the wet of the ingredients.

Whisk together but don't overwork the mixture.

Turn the mix into a lined loaf tin and bake for 40-45 minutes until a knife or skewer comes out clean.

Allow to cool for 10 minutes in the tin before turning out.
